Bike Polo Glove for Northern Standard

Working closely with the team at Northern Standard, we created the world’s first bike polo specific glove. Like any young sport, a lack of suitable equipment has promoted a strong DIY mentality. To make the product a success it had to be extremely functional; a reworked motorcycle or hockey glove wasn’t going to cut it. With this in mind, we worked together with with elite level polo player Ken D. to design a glove from the ground up to ensure the most functional and well considered product was created. The glove was conceived with every aspect of the game fresh in our minds. This lead to niche features such as the carbon plate which allows the players hand slide along the boards when in the corners or on the asphalt when they take a spill. All images and video are furnished courtesy of the fine folks at Northern Standard
Self Fabric: Ballistic stretch nylon outer for maximum flexibility and durability.
Padding: A special 3 layer sandwich of  EVA foam and PE plastic wrapped in Ballistic Stretch Nylon for maximum durability.

Re-enforced high wear points: Full leather wrapped fingertips are super durable, no worries about these wearing out before the rest of the glove.

Breathable: Mesh panels on the edges of the fingers keep your fingers feeling cool.

Brow /Nose Wipe (at base of thumb): Terry Cloth wipe so no one see's you sweating it!
2 ply palm, full grain leather, with synthetic re-enforcement. Double-stitching and re-enforcing stitching to ensure durability.

Carbon Slider: On the outside side if the palm to guard against hard crashes, slashing and to allow your hand to glide across the boards.

Crash Pad: On the base of the palm, for those unexpected crash landings.
